Obituary

In loving memory of Linda Hemenway Farnsworth Williamson, who graciously concluded her earthly journey on December 22, 2024.

Linda resided in St. George, Utah, at the time of her passing. She was born on February 11, 1946, in Provo, Utah, to her loving parents, Wenzel and Marva Adair Hemenway.

She spent her formative years in Provo, Utah, where she graduated from Provo High School and the Hollywood School of Cosmetology. She entered into marriage with Lynn Farnsworth on September 18, 1965, and their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple on November 13, 1999. They settled in Orem, Utah, where they raised a loving family, including their eldest daughter, Lisa, and two sons, Jay and Bruce. For a commendable duration of 38 years, Linda worked at the JC Penny Salon and operated her own beauty salon within their home, while also owning and managing a renowned local bowling alley known as Maple Lanes in Orem, Utah, where both she and Lynn developed a fervent passion for bowling. In recognition of her dedication to the sport, Linda was inducted into the Central Utah Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2008.

Linda was an active participant in her community, engaging closely with the Miss Orem Pageant contestants and the Orem High School Drama Department, for which she received numerous accolades in acknowledgment of her services.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lynn, who departed this life on November 17, 1999. Following this profound loss, she faithfully served a mission in Adelaide, Australia, from September 2003 to February 2005.

Embracing a new chapter in her life, Linda met her next love Rick Williamson while they were both serving in the St George Temple and were married in 2005. They made their home in Coral Canyon, Washington, Utah, where they have resided ever since. Together, they were deeply committed to being a big part of their grandchildren's lives. Linda and Rick consistently opened their home to family members, providing a warm and welcoming haven during visits. Linda took great delight in watching her grandchildren compete in various sports and was immensely proud of all of their achievements. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings and served as the Relief Society President for many years and served with much compassion and love for all.

Linda is survived by her husband, Rick Williamson; sister, Donna; her children; Lisa Christensen (Rick), Jay Lynn Farnsworth and Bruce Lee Farnsworth (Lindsay); stepchildren: Wendy Wood, Cathy Condie (Brad) and Rick A Williamson (Janelle); 22 grandchildren;18-great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lynn Farnsworth; her parents, Wenzel and Marva Hemenway; her brothers: Arvil, Dale and Deloy; and grandson, Dustin Jenkins.
