St. George, Utah - Lisa Nichole Friedel, 35, passed away on November 13, 2011, in Ivins, Utah. She was born December 6, 1975, in Provo, Utah to Nancy Benge and Frank Purvis. She was later adopted by G. Carl and Jacquelyn Bagby. Lisa married Ty Friedel on June 1, 1996, in the St. George Utah LDS Temple.

Lisa grew up in several locations across Utah, but called St. George her hometown. She was an avid reader, her thirst for knowledge was ever-present and her interests were wide and varied. She was never without a book, and was immensely talented at several things. She was an accomplished student, dancer, pianist and most remarkably an amazing wife and mother to her beautiful children.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Ty and their four children: Abby-Gail, 14, Kathryn, 11, Emily, 9 and Dylan, 7; along with numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Snow Canyon LDS 5 ^th Ward Chapel, 1625 North Lava Flow Drive, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Wednesday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Thursday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow at the Tonaquint Cemetery located at 1777 South Dixie Drive. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
