St. George, Utah- Lola Maria Flora, 43, passed away on September 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving children. Lola was born September 11, 1972 in Ogden, Utah to Fortino Rodriguez and Juanita "Polly" Rodriguez. She married Joseph "Joe" James Flora on October 8, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah, who preceded her in death, on August 22, 2014. Together they had four children. Lola was also the mother to two step children. Lola was a dedicated mother to all six of her children. She worked hard to ensure her family was taken care of. She joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1994. She loved serving the Lord and held many positions in the church, while her calling as the Nursery Leader was her most cherished calling. She was an avid Dixie High School fan, supporting both her boys who were a part of the football team. She is survived by her children: Melissa Lee, Alex Joseph, Tyler James, Isabella Maria, Tiffany Rose, and Ashley (Ryan) Goold; grandchildren: Natalie Rae, Christine Rose, Brooklyn Nicole, and Olivia Elena; her parents: and brother, Jody (Angelia) Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Flora and grandparents Albert and Maria Jones. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Morningside LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 930 South Morningside Dr. in St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary; 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Friday prior to services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Lola will be laid to rest in the St. George Cemetery with her husband.
