Hurricane, Utah - Lola Helen Francisco Gibson passed away February 22, 2012. She was born May 21, 1930 in Tropic, Utah to Charles Edward and Elizabeth Viola Smith Francisco. She married Ward Navar Gibson September 7, 1946 in Leeds, Utah. After his passing, she spent many years with her companion, Marvin Tippetts.

Lola is survived by her children: Jenifer Mercer, Sally (Mike) Elliott, Becky (Kevin) Gibson, Merlin (Cheryl) Gibson, her nephew, Pete (Debbie) Alvey and Karry Tippetts-Phillips; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces; sister, Berthene Griffin; and brother, Charles Francisco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ward; her companion, Marvin Tippetts; grandson, Brandon Hansen; brothers: Dexter Francisco and Bill Francisco; and sisters: Roma Evans, Varis Simpkins and Ladene Alvey.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Virgin LDS Ward Chapel, 91 South Mill Road, Virgin, Utah. Interment will follow at the Hurricane City Cemetery, Hurricane, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, (435) 635-9922.
