Obituary

Lorin LaMarr Johnson passed away November 10, 2019. He was born January 16, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jane Annie Fearnley and Charles Theodore Johnson.

Lorin was educated in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School. He attended the University of Utah with a major in Engineering. He spent his career with Kennecott Copper Corporation in Magna, Utah and retired as the Senior Engineer at the Refinery.

Lorin loved traveling, especially to Mexico, and studying the ancient history of the Aztec and Mayan civilizations.

Lorin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a very loving, kind and gentle man.

Lorin is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters: Fern, Annie, June and Ruth; three brothers: Ferris, Ray, and Delbert. He is survived by his wife, Donna Kay Gover; four children: Steven (Paula Rich), Scott, Spencer, and Lisa (Stan) Thomas; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two step-sons: Rick and Ken Clements of Blanding and Orem, respectively; as well as 9 step-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held.
