Lorraine Murray Hunter Leatham, age 93, passed away January 15, 2023, in Draper, Utah.  She was born November 4, 1929, in Ogden, Utah to Theodore Vernon Murray and Effie Merle Dimick.  She was married to Melvin Carl Hunter on September 5, 1951, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Lorraine was raised in Ogden, Utah where she attended Weber High School and Weber Academy.  She was a wonderful cook, cake decorator and chocolate dipper. Most of all she was a loving kind person, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mel and Lorraine moved to Bountiful where they raised their four children.  She is survived by all 4 of them:  Melvin Roy Hunter, Janet Woolley (David), Lynn Carl Hunter (Terri) and Sheila Penman (David); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved very much.  Lorraine is also survived by her sister, Joan Gifford Dalton.

Lorraine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings.  Her favorite was probably her 10 years of service at the Jordan River Temple.

After the passing of Melvin in 1992 she met and married William Wallace "Wally" Leatham. They were married for 9 very happy years until Wally's passing in 2005.

The family would like to thank the caring workers at Ashford Assisted Living Center and the kind and loving staff at Inspiration Hospice Care.

Mom, you will be missed by your entire family. Each one of us still thinks that we are your favorite!

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 11 am in the Westland 2nd Ward Chapel, 7171 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah.  A visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:45 am preceding the funeral.

Interment will be Monday, January 23, 2023, at 10 am in the St. George City Cemetery, 600 East Tabernacle Street, St. George, Utah.
