St. George, Utah - Lorraine Amelia Urbaniak, 88, passed away August 13, 2012. She was born May 9, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to Harry Secord and Ann Walkowski Secord. She married Raymond C. Urbaniak August 31, 1940 at St. Marys Church in Wayne, Michigan.

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose love touched hearts of those in her life. Raised in Michigan, she and Raymond moved to Florida after he retired from Ford Motor Company and until his passing in 1996.Later, she and her daughter, Jan and two grandsons moved to St. George to live near her son, Ray in Hurricane. Lorraine was dedicated to her family, helping to care for many members of her family, including her grandmother Ida, father Harry and uncle Henry. She was always a strong source of guidance and support. She enjoyed many gatherings and fun vacations with her family, including regular trips to Disney World and a memorable trip to Paris. A devoted Catholic, Lorraine attended mass regularly and generously supported her church.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Long of St. George; son, Raymond Urbaniak and his wife Enilse of Hurricane; and grandchildren: Gerald Sias and his partner, Lorry Stone of St. George, Geoffrey Urbaniak, his wife, Christine and their son, Owen of Arden, NC, and Randall Sias and girlfriend, Lisa Landrau of Colorado Springs, CO.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George Catholic Church, 259 West 200 North, St. George, Utah. An open house will follow services for all who attend at Jans house, located at 1582 Falcon Drive, St. George, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
