Lorreen Lee Gunn

Lorreen Lee (York) Gunn was born in Lynwood, California on November 10, 1947.

Lorreen is preceded in death by her parents, Harry D. York and Ethel L. (Franceschine) York and her younger sister Becky (York) Dawson and brother-in-law, Ted Dawson.

She is survived by the love of her life for 33 years, her Husband, Mark Gunn and youngest sister, Deanna (York) Hawkins and husband Will Hawkins and Lorreen's First Cousin, Barbara/Bobbie Gamble.

Surviving Nephew: Chris Perkins, Nieces: Nicola Borrowman and Rebecca Jensen and her Husband, Jens Jensen, and Great-Nephews: Gabriel Perkins, Spencer Dana and Great-Niece Sophia Dana.

Also Lorreen's surviving first husband, Mike Lambert, wife Kate Lambert, and Lorreen and Mike's sons, Joseph Lambert, wife Kari and their children Christen and Jeffrey Lambert; and son Donald Lambert, his two sons, Aiden Lambert, wife TaiLey, and Riley Lambert, wife Caity and their daughter, Calliopy.

Lorreen's greatest dream was to be a “wife and Mommy” and homemaker.

She was always so happy to celebrate her life with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-niece and nephews and a new great-granddaughter.

Throughout her life she was a nurturing person, compassionate and had a strong family oriented and spiritual life.

She greeted loved ones and strangers alike with her warm and dynamic smile and welcoming presence. Her smile could, 'light-up-the-room.'

Lorreen had many interests and talents. After graduating High School, she became a Cosmetologist and her gift of making others feel and appear beautiful was one of her greatest skills.

Some of her favorite things were cooking, all the while humming cheerfully, canning, crocheting, dancing, gardening, listening to music, playing her guitar, doing arts & crafts and had an overwhelming love of animals of all kinds. Throughout her life she always had pets; cats, dogs, birds and chickens.

She worked as a C.N.A. During her 40's and later she later used the gift of her healing hands as a Sports Massage Therapist.

Lorreen had a devoted spiritual, faithful and unwavering relationship to God, her husband Mark and her family and friends.

On behalf of Lorreen, the family would like to express our deepest thanks to all of her caregivers, medical staff and dear friends for the kindness and understanding you have given to her in her time of need.

For those who would like to attend, Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 11:30 A.M. at the Metcalf Bonzo Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main Street, Hurricane, UT.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM prior to services at the mortuary.
