Velma Lou Muzingo, resident of Hurricane, Utah passed away on February 7 th , 2021 at the age of 78. Lou was born on September 13, 1942 in Payson, Utah to Richard LaVear Sizemore and Veda Julia Cowan. She married Hollis Charles Muzingo on April 4 th , 1964 in Grants, New Mexico. Lou was raised in Springlake, Utah and loved animals. Lou received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Weber State College in 1994. She worked as a registered nurse in Shiprock, New Mexico and for Home Health Services, Inc in St. George Utah. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. During her lifetime she has lived in Utah, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Colorado. She loved working in her garden, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Hollis "Holly" Muzingo of Hurricane, Utah; her daughter Leanne Morrell, of Anchorage Alaska; grandchildren Emilie Austen Morrell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Cameron Thomas Morrell of Newcastle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her son, David Hollis Muzingo.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 15 th , 2021 at the Hurricane Heritage Chapel located at 1178 South 700 West in Hurricane Utah. A viewing will be held from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm; Memorial Service begins at 1:00 pm.
Interment to be held on Wednesday, February 17 th , 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Payson City Cemetery located at 875 East 400 North, Payson, Utah.
