IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ludell
Hutchings
September 9, 1941 – July 6, 2023
Ivins, Utah – LuDell Hutchings born September 9, 1941, in Provo, Utah left this earth July 6, 2023, in St. George, Utah to return to his heavenly home.
LuDell lived a life of selfless service, a great love of golf, fishing, the great outdoors, and his family. Two weeks prior to his death he hit a hole in one, which this is his third hole in one in his golf history, not an easy feat. Alaska was his favorite place to fish and to live.
He was a big softy at heart and one of his favorite things was to be with and around children, especially his grandchildren. He was always a big tease until the end. He was the glue and protector of his family in so many ways.
He served faithfully in a variety of church callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
LuDell has worked his whole life starting at the age of 6. He worked on his Grandma and Grandpa Osborne's farm, Air Force, National Parks, Forestry firefighting and the Federal Aviation Administration which he retired from in Anchorage, Alaska.
When he was 17, he fell in love with the love of his life who he adoringly called his angel. Josephine Ann Brown Hutchings and LuDell Hutchings were married in Provo, Utah on May 17, 1962, and then were sealed for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple on May 17, 1966. In the years that followed 6 children completed their family.
LuDell is survived by his wife of 61 years, Josephine Ann Hutchings; his children: Kevin Linn Hutchings, Gary Allen (LeeAnn Elliott) Hutchings, Deborah Sue(Rodelio) Manalon, Aaron Robert Hutchings, Jennifer (Christopher) Campbell, and Kimberly Hutchings; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
LuDell is preceded in death by his brother, Perry Elmo Hutchings; sisters: Claudia Hutchings and Afton Hutchings; mother, June Hutchings.
