Obituary

La Verkin, Utah – Lynn James Cook, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Gillette, Wyoming. He was born, February 11, 1930, in Syracuse, Utah to Nephi and Frances Dyson Cook.
Lynn loved dogs, Readers Digest jokes and babies. He taught us the importance of love, forgiveness and over-coming life's obstacles. He is loved and will be missed.
Lynn is survived by his children and stepchildren: James Cook, Janice Thayne, Karen Cook, Robert Cook, Carol McKee, David Dix, Richard Dix and Edmund Dix; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gretta Cook; and step-son, Arthur Dix.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the LaVerkin City Cemetery, LaVerkin, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main Street, Hurricane, Utah.
