St. George, Utah - Lynn Annette (Mortensen) Chandler passed away peacefully on January 7, 2013, surrounded by her loving and adoring family. She was born on December 28, 1951 to Kenneth and Mary Jane Mortensen in Artesia, New Mexico. From an early age she demonstrated an unusual desire to please Heavenly Father and to make her parents happy. At the age of seventeen she met Mike who, after serving an LDS mission, married her in the SLC Temple on September 30, 1971. They lived together in love and peace, becoming the parents of Chris, Marni, Brook, Spencer and Rachel. Her greatest ambition in life was to be a wife and mother. Though she traveled far and wide, her heart was always with her family. She will be sorely missed but remembered until a joyous reunion with her faithful companion.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Ofa, Emilio and Adam; 9 wonderful grandchildren; her parents and siblings.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset LDS Stake Center, 82 North Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund.
