St. George, Utah - Carmen Mae Wall passed away at her home in St. George, Utah on November 1, 2014. Mae was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Victor and Carmen Abram on September 14, 1944. She lived and attended school in Superior, Wyoming until her junior year. She attended Rock Springs High School and graduated from there in 1962. Mae went to the RN program at St. Benedict's Nursing School in Ogden, Utah, and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She married Edward Wall on October 22, 1966 in Aurora, Colorado. Mae was one of the original members of the St. George Catholic Church and was selected Catholic Woman of the Year for Southern Utah not once but twice. She was one of the original-founding members of the St. George Catholic Thrift Store. Mae was preceded in death by her father, Victor, and brother, Joseph, who died in infancy. She is survived by her mother, Carmen; husband, Edward; her sons: Geoffrey (Carolyn) and Jonathan (Kesha); grandchildren: Chloe, Alex, Sarah, and Sophia; siblings: Vic (Billie), David (Judy), Pat (Lourdes), Bobby (Loretta), and Teresa (Norbert) Green; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A rosary service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday November 6, 2014 at the St. George Catholic Church, 249 West 200 North, St. George, Utah. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Interment will be at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221.
