Hurricane, Utah – Margaret "Marge" Juanita Beach Miller, born September 30, 1927 to Jack Enoch Beach and Christana "Annie" Richard in Chloride, Arizona, passed away Wednesday June 13, 2018, in St. George Utah. She was 90.
Margaret married Darrel Pectol Miller in Henderson, Nevada on March 11, 1962. They were sealed in the St George Temple in 1965. Marge brought six children to the union and Darrel brought five making a total of 11.
Margaret and Darrel began their married life together living in Henderson Nevada, later moving to LaVerkin Utah, to Indian Springs Nevada, to Washington Utah and retiring in Hurricane Utah.
Before they were married Margaret worked as a nurse's aide at the Rose de Lima Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. She transferred to the hospital in St. George, Utah as a nurse's aide where she worked for six months. In 1967, she had the opportunity to return to school to pursue her LPN degree in Cedar City, Utah graduating in 1969. In 1977, she started Registered Nursing School at Dixie College. She graduated in 1979. Upon finishing her schooling, she went back to work at the St. George Hospital as an RN. In 1984, Margaret went to work as a supervisor for Southern Utah Home Health in Hurricane for six years.
Margaret joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a month after they were married and served faithfully the rest of her life. Margaret and Darrel served as ordinance workers for two years in the St. George Temple before serving full time in the West Virginia Charleston mission. It was a wonderful experience for them and they made life-long friends.
Marge loved to read and especially enjoyed anything related to church or family history. She liked to embroider and gave away many hand towels and pillow cases. She enjoyed baking and loved to give away the delicious breads she made. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by five sons: Dale Deardorff (Shari), Denver Ray (Trudi), Darrel Miller Jr. (Ruthi), Doug Miller (Joyce) and John Miller (Cindy); six daughters: Sheri Harrison (Barry), Ethelyn Humphries (Craig), Madelon Hansen (Larry), June Zoul (Jim), Kim Taylor and Sheila DeWitt (Ray); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, one infant child, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Dixie Regional Medical Center and Hospice, the Hurricane 21st Ward and Metcalf Mortuary for their kindness and care.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS 21st Ward Chapel, 320 North 3400 West, Hurricane, Utah. Visitations will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd and Thursday, prior to service, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Utah.Metcalf Mortuary
