IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Ann
Murdock
January 29, 1941 – May 13, 2024
Margaret Ann Cederlof Murdock, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 13, 2024. She leaves behind a profound legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to family.
Born to Eugene Glen Cederlof and Margaret "Peggy" Lorine Duffin Cederlof in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 29, 1941. Margaret's early years were shaped by the values of love and family. She shared a special bond with her sister Karen Barnes, whose memory she cherished deeply.
Margaret's life was a perfect example of love and compassion. As the Matriarch of her family, she exemplified the true meaning of unconditional love. Her children, Tammy (Lynn) Crookston, Debbie (Jerry) Sabaitis, Steve (Ann) Murdock, Jenny (Kevin) Leavitt, and Blaine (Emily) Murdock, were her greatest pride and joy. Margaret's devotion to her 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren knew no bounds. She found immense joy in being a grandmother, and her love for them was unconditional.
Margaret's passions included her garden, being in nature, and being surrounded by family. An artist at heart, she found solace and inspiration in painting, drawing, and knitting.
Her unwavering faith and belief in Jesus Christ were the cornerstone of Margaret's life. She served an LDS mission at age 65 in the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. She served diligently in various callings within the LDS Church, including serving as the primary president and in the Young Women's Program in her 70's, touching countless lives with her kindness and grace.
Margaret went to College at the University of Utah. Professionally, she was a trailblazer. As an office manager for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance, she worked tirelessly and took great pride in her career achievements. She also worked at Boy Scouts of America and the Children's Justice Center.
Margaret's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. However, her spirit will live on in the memories of those she touched with her love and kindness. Though she may no longer walk among us, her legacy of love and family will endure for generations to come.
