St. George, Utah - Marie Cox Broderick, age 94, passed away quietly on Friday, February 6, 2015 at her home, while she was sleeping. She was born September 22, 1920 in Rockville, Utah to Arthur Delano and Cora Haight Cox. She married her sweetheart, Clement H. Broderick, from Emery, Utah, in the St. George LDS Temple on September 16, 1941 She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions, including Relief Society President, Temple Worker and served a mission with her husband. She loved Family History and making quilts. She also loved singing duets with her husband as she played her accordion to his guitar, entertaining at many places. She will be missed by family and friends. Her siblings are: Alma (Angie) Cox, Elmer (Pauline) Cox, Lenna (Art) Wilcock, Robert Lenoir (Mary) Cox, Evan (Mathelyn) Cox, Bernice (LaMar) Broderick, Amelda (Budd) Wilcox, Luelma Bradford and Sherwin (Ann Marie) Broderick. Marie has ten children: Glenna (Larry) Fletcher, Anita (Alma) Fletcher, Janeen Jensen (Richard), Roger (Linda) Broderick, Joyce (Dennis) Johnson, Bert (Maggie) Broderick, Viona (Dave) Evans, Betty Martin, LaVon (Janiece) Broderick and Antone (Kara) Broderick; 47 grandchildren; and 96 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George LDS Flood Street Chapel, 85 South 400 East, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd, and on Saturday, prior to services, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the LDS Chapel.
