St. George, Utah " Marion Elna Sandberg, 89, passed away July 8, 2014 in St. George, Utah. She was born September 15, 1924 to Luther Marion Cobbs and Elna Englen in San Francisco, California. She married Ivin Sandberg in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 27, 1945. They were later sealed in the Las Vegas LDS Temple.

Marion is survived by her husband, Ivin Sandberg; daughters: Lynda (Bill) Kreitlow of Las Vegas and Paula (Kim) Larsen of St. George; grandchildren: Wade Kreitlow, Stacy Kreitlow, Sonja Howard of Las Vegas, Katrina Christiansen of Bakersfield, CA; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Zona Piper of Seattle, WA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parkdale LDS Ward Chapel, 4040 East Wyoming Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada. A visitation will be held Tuesday, prior to the services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will take place in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, Nevada. Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalf Mortuary (435) 673-4221.
