Marjory Lou
Leonard Ruesch Millerberg
June 5, 1925 – February 3, 2020
St. George, Utah - Marjory Lou Leonard Ruesch Millerberg, 94, passed away February 3, 2020. She was born June 5, 1925 in Pueblo, Colorado to Hiram Danford and Martha Wallace Leonard. Her parents; sister, Louise Katner Gunnel; sister, Lois Ann Leonard; brother Lawrence Leonard; and oldest daughter, Linda Ruesch Black preceded her in death.
Her family traveled around a bit but finally settled in Joplin, Mo. She met Rondo W. Ruesch, who was a LT in the Army, stationed nearby. After a short courtship, they were married in the family home on March 2, 1943. Since Rondo was in the military, Marjory stayed near her family until after her first child was born. Eventually, she moved to be near Rondo's family in St. George, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Together they had seven children. Rondo succumbed to injuries suffered in an automobile accident in January 1971, and Marjory continued to raise her children alone.
On January 23, 1984, she married Kenneth L. Millerberg and they remained as good companions until his death on July 8, 2005.
Marjory was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held several positions there. Additionally, she worked at the St. George Temple several years at the Family File desk. She enjoyed this work very much.
Marjory is survived by her son-in-law, Kenneth Black; daughter, Carol (Mike) Gibson; twin sons: Jon (Anahir) Ruesch and Don (Lonnie) Ruesch; son, Brent (Janelle) Ruesch; daughter, Marilyn (John) Lee; daughter, Nancy (Ted) Harrison; 32 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Being the last leaf of her generation, mom was preceded in death by two husbands, one daughter, one grandson-in-law, and one great-grandson. She was always proud of the accomplishments of her posterity.
To the very end, she enjoyed visiting with family and friends, catching up on the news of their families and talking of old times. She loved flowers, especially roses and her 4 o'clocks. She had a dry sense of humor and wit and will be missed by many.
