St. George, Utah - Markne' Reeve Wright, 70, of St. George, Utah, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 2, 2015 from cancer. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Air Force Colonel Robert C. Reeve and his wife Margaret, who lived in many places including Hawaii and London, England. Her family settled in San Bernardino, CA where she graduated from St. Bernardine's Catholic School in 1962. She attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and completed her Bachelor's degree in Communications from California State University, San Bernardino in 1988. She worked for TRW for 27 years followed by three years for Northrup Grumman as a Marketing Specialist. Markne' was an avid reader, loved sewing, gardening - especially with her roses, cooking, and traveling, having seen many parts of the world including Australia, New Zealand, China, Italy, Scotland and Ireland. An avid genealogist, she traced her family's heritage as well as her husband's. She was a member of the AAUW in St. George as well as a member of a women's book club. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, James Robert "Jim" Wright; her daughter, Terri (Jorge) Carlos; her son, Todd (Liz) Wright; three grandchildren: Steven Wright, Elizabeth Carlos and Devon Wright; her brother, Robert C. (Karen) Reeve II; a niece, Lisa Reeve; and two great-nieces, Alyssa and Hunter. She was preceded in death by her niece, Lara Reeve. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Services will be held also be held at a later date in San Bernardino, California under the direction of Bobbitt Mortuary in San Bernardino, CA.
