Obituary

St. George, Utah – On July 10, 2017, our beautiful and sweet Marsha Rae Cowley Hall, 73, passed peacefully from this life.  Marsha was born August 31, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mary Kathleen Lowrance Cowley and Ray Garn Cowley, MD.

Because her father was a military doctor, she lived in many places during her life, including Germany. She attended BYU, and later lived in Aurora, Colorado, Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Southern Utah.

Marsha was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her quiet faith inspired many.  She held many callings in her life, including Den Mother in Cub Scouts, and was in the Young Women's Presidency.  She was a faithful visiting teacher as well.

She had a passion for art and loved to create beauty, and especially loved to give her art to those she loved.  Whether a birthday card, a book she illustrated, a pencil drawing or collage for a loved-one's wall, she blessed many lives with her talent.

Marsha was preceded in death by her father and mother.  She is survived by her brothers: William Garn (Gail) Cowley, Gregory Bruce (Cindy) Cowley, and James Michael (Marya) Cowley; She is also survived by her two children: Christine (Ryan) Olsen, and Michael (Alexandra) Gray, and seven grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Venice LDS Chapel, 170 South Main Street, Venice, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to services from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Venice Cemetery.
