Growing up in the country, Marvin enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother Eugene.  He served honorably in the Korean War as a Sergeant in the US Army field artillery.  After returning home, he met and married Jeanette Irene Grossman on December 4, 1954.  They celebrated their 67 th anniversary a few days before his passing.

Marvin was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served diligently in many callings including President of the Member Locator Mission in St. George with his wife Jeanette.  He loved singing in the church choir.  He and Jeanette had a great passion for family history.
