Hurricane, UT - Marvin Kenneth Tippetts passed away at the age of 67, January 18, 2010 in his and Lolas home. He was born December 1, 1942 in Malad, Idaho to Truman and Minola Thompson Tippetts. Marvin married Helen Gibson in 1960. They had one daughter Karry Louise Tippetts Scott. They divorced in 1976. Later, he married Lola Francisco in Toquerville, Utah December 3, 1989. It was love at first sight. Loves of his life were his daughter Karry, grandchildren, and his wife Lola. His favorite actor was Jerry Lewis, whom he was mistaken for all his life and his sense of humor was a lot like Jerrys. His favorite movies were westerns, his hobbies were working on cars and he had a model car collection. He will be missed by all his loved ones and said his goodbyes very peacefully. He is now with his savior Jesus. He is survived by his wife, Lola; daughter, Karry; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Tiffany Phillips; 6 great-grandchildren ; step-children: Merlin J. Gibson, Sheryl, Jennifer Mercer, Sally Elliott, Mike, Becky Gibson, Kevin, Pete Alvie, Debbie; 22 step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held in Murray, Utah Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 South Vine St. A visitation will be held in Hurricane, Utah Monday, January 25, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main St. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 635-9922.Please
