January 29, 1941 – May 21, 2016
Ivins, Utah – Mary Ann Bottino, age 75, passed away Saturday May 21, 2016 in St. George, Utah. She was born on January 29, 1941 in Rexburg, Idaho to Garner B. Pincock and May Fullmer. She was the oldest of 10 children. She married Paul J. Bottino on November 16, 1963 in Rexburg, Idaho, they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Ann graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg in 1959. She attended Cosmetology school, and moved to Logan, Utah, where she worked for many years. In 1965 she moved to Pullman, Washington, where she continued her Cosmetology career. She was very popular and successful as a Cosmetologist with a large clientele, including the wives of two university presidents. In Washington State she won several hair styling awards.
Ann moved to Long Island, New York in 1969 and focused mostly on raising her family. In New York she took up a part-time job as a school bus driver. Then upon moving to Laurel, Maryland in 1973 she pursued school bus driving for special education students in Prince Georges County and continued doing this for 29 years. She finally retired from that work in 2003. She and her husband then moved to Frankford, Delaware and enjoyed a very easy going lifestyle, which included many days at the beach, which she dearly loved. Then in December 2011, she and her husband moved to Ivins City, Utah.
Ann was a very talented, hard working woman. In addition to her faithful LDS service in many callings over the years, and her job, she was an outstanding mother, cook, and a very accomplished quilter and an active member to the Dixie Quilt Guild. She loved riding around the desert and mountains with her husband on a Polaris RZR, and she enjoyed greatly her three grandchildren. She traveled to Hawaii and twice to Alaska and from 2003 until the move to Ivins, traveled each winter from Delaware to Utah for two months. She actually enjoyed the road trips across the country.
Ann is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul, her daughters: Angela (48) of West Jordan, Utah, and Kristin (46) of Elkridge, Maryland, as well as her three grandchildren: Taylor (17), Wade (12), and Blair (10), also of Elkridge, Maryland.
