St. George, Utah - Mary Ann Day,46, passed away July 29, 2013. She was born September 21, 1965 to Margaret and Eugene Grubaugh in David City, NE. She graduated from David City High School and married Paul Day in Columbus, NE on August 28, 1990.

Mary Ann worked at Wal-Mart for many years. She enjoyed reading and hiking the outdoors. Hobbies included puzzles and collecting lighthouses. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.

She will always be loved and remembered by their children: Jennifer (Mike) Saindon, Kimberly (Matt) Tryon and Brandon Day of St. George, Melinda Velecela of Bellwood NE, and Nick (Elaina) Day of Columbus, NE; grandchildren: Jay & Juliah Saindon, Mia & Gia Valecela, and Tyler Day; parents: Margaret and Eugene Grubaugh of David City, NE; siblings: Connie Perry (Dean Venter), Jeannie (Steve) Ienn, Tom Grubaugh, Corey Grubaugh of Columbus, NE., Paul (Deb) Grubaugh and Carey Grubaugh, of Platte Center NE., Ken Grubaugh of Howell MI; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held Monday, August 5, 2013 at 5:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1731 S Convention Center Drive in St George. A memorial service is to be conducted August 9, 2013 in David City, NE. Flowers can be sent to the Hilton Garden. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
