Obituary

Leeds, Utah – Our angel mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Mary Lynn Frehner Leavitt, 83, departed this mortal world on August 28, 2024. She was born March 7, 1941, in St. George, Utah and is the fifth child of Fenton and Mary Frehner.

She was reared in her beloved home of Mesquite, Nevada. Mary Lynn fell in love with Tommy R Leavitt, and they were married November 29, 1957 in the St. George Temple for time and all eternity, and their journey together has been glorious.

Mother loved everyone, easily made friends with strangers, and loved to be anonymously generous to many she found in need. You always knew you were the favorite. She had a great smile, talked a mile-a-minute, was optimistic, and loved to learn.  She built her whole life around our Savior Jesus Christ and served Him by helping others learn and grow.

Mary Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy R. Leavitt; son, Jonathan R. Leavitt; grandson, Traer Eastman; parents, Fenton and Mary Frehner; brothers, Dale Frehner, Verl Frehner, Graeme Frehner, Alfred Frehner; sister Dorothy Thurston; as well as other close family members.

She is survived by their posterity: Keena Bennion (Kerry); Ranon Robinson (Norman); T. Lance Leavitt (Verlin); Joni Eastman (David); Dagan P. Leavitt (Rebecca); Toiya Wilson (Stephen); 66 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by brothers: Klint Frehner, Creed Frehner, Bryce Frehner; and sisters: Lana Larkin and Kimi Christensen.
