Obituary

St. George, Utah - Mavor "Mave" R. Hedberg, 81, passed away on June 8, 2022.  He was born on August 20, 1940 in Highland Park, IL to parents Richard and Mary Mavor Hedberg.  He attended Lake Forest Academy and graduated from Highland Park High School.  He also graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Mave is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Haberkamp Hedberg; and sons: John (Mirla and son Nico) and Brad (Sandra and son Stefan and another son on the way in October).  He is also survived by a sister, Dania Phillips (Bill, deceased, and daughters Jody and Jessie and son, A.J.).

Mave worked for Wilson Sporting Goods for 24 years.  After that he, his wife, and two sons opened Zion Golf (formerly Nevada Bob's Golf) in St. George, UT.

Mave coached his sons in little league baseball and basketball.  He was a tennis player, hiker, skier, but loved golf the most.  He was a generous person who helped many people either with his time or with aiding them in their pursuit of sports.

One of the things Mave would miss the most is his date with Phyllis every Saturday night.
