Enterprise, Utah - Maxine Hunt Barlow, 89, passed away August 30, 2011. She was born March 14, 1922 in Cedar City, Utah. She was the fifth child of 12 children; 4 brothers and 7 sisters born to Jonathan A. and Mignonette Bauer Hunt. She loved the community and lived her entire life in - Enterprise. She married her high school sweetheart, Ivin E. Barlow in the St. George LDS Temple November 27, 1940. They just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Maxine enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing and cooking. She was known for her delicious chocolate chip cookies, pies and noodles. She loved flowers, watching the turning leaves in the fall and enjoyed picking pine nuts with her family. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed spending time with them. Maxine was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in Young Womens, Relief Society, and Scouting programs. She served in the St. George LDS Temple for 18 years as an ordinance worker. Maxine is survived by her husband, Ivin; children: Dale (Verus) Barlow of St. George, Utah, Linda (Al) Keeler of Washington, Utah, Les (Mary Ann) Barlow, Ralph (Carla) Barlow, and David (VaNae) Barlow, all of Enterprise, Utah; daughter-in-law, Lynette McNeil of St. George, Utah; 27 grandchildren; and 71 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters: Claudia Day, Shirley Staheli and Jeanne Hunt; and brothers: Elton Hunt, Delone Hunt and Garry Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley E. Barlow; and daughter, Annette Barlow; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Enterprise LDS Stake Center, 80 South Center Street, Enterprise, Utah. Visitations will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah and on Friday, prior to services, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stake Center.
