IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Ross
Austin
October 16, 1956 – February 4, 2013
St. George, Utah - Michael Ross Austin, 56, died peacefully at home on February 4, 2013, with his family by his side, after a long and painful battle with multiple sclerosis.
Michael was born on October 16, 1956 to Howard & Patricia Austin, who preceded him in death, and who will be there to greet him on the other side, along with many friends, and four legged hunting companions.
Michael lived and worked at Dugway Proving Grounds in Northwestern Utah for many years. Later, he went on to own his own company, which he eventually sold once his illness began to take its toll on his daily activity. He spent the last several years focused on family and friends, living life to the fullest. Michael was always the prankster, and will be remembered as someone who could make you laugh, usually at his own expense, even when you didn't feel like it. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.
Michael is survived by his three siblings: Kathryn (Don) Young, Evelyn (Bruce) Hooley, and Howard (Amber) Austin, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Michael wanted those who knew him to take a moment to remember him the way he was; to laugh or smile at a moment shared with him. * The family requests no flowers, but donations to the National M.S. Society, PO Box 4527, New York, New York, 10163, (800) 344-4867 or at www.nationalmssociety.org.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
