Santa Clara, Utah - Dan Beardshear, 75, passed away May 29, 2011 in Santa Clara, Utah. He was born May 24, 1936 to Kay Beardshear and Mary Eileen Teurman. Dan married Myrna in Palm Springs, CA on June 28, 1997. Raised in Hayden, Colorado, Dan enlisted in the U.S. Marines Corps in 1953. While in the Marines Corps, he served his country honorably in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his retirement from the military, Dan served as an alcohol and drug addiction counselor and interventionist. He was loved by his wife, Myrna; five children; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
