St. George, Utah - Michael Sharp Fitzgerald passed away on May 3, 2011 in St. George Utah. He was born on May 18, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clement W. and Florence Sharp Fitzgerald. Mike grew up in Crescent, Utah. During his growing up years, he worked on the family farm alongside his dad and other family members. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1960. He was a charismatic, loving man who never met a stranger. He loved the outdoors, especially hiking with friends in Zion National Park, Snow Canyon, Gooseberry Mesa and searching in the desert for petroglyphs. Mike was a Licensed Real Estate Agent and most recently worked in Mesquite, Nevada for RFMS. He retired in 2009. He is survived by his children: Kim Fitzgerald and John Fitzgerald; granddaughter, Sara Fitzgerald; and siblings: Kathleen F. (Kas) Bills of Salt Lake City, Utah and C. Gary Fitzgerald (Garna) of American Fork, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Paula Lynn Fitzgerald. A Celebration of Mike's life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
