Veyo, Utah – On August 10, 2022, we lost our beloved Mother, Yia Yia, cousin and friend to many, Mona Marie Zantiotis Given.  Mona passed away peacefully in her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 23, 1938, in Coalinga CA, to Helen Rodgers and Peter Spiro Zantiotis.  She later married William Albert Given III (Bill).  Together they had four children: Athena (Scott) Orullian, Lisa (John) Arnes, William Albert Given IV, Billy (Sandra) Given and Angela (Jay) Smith; nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her parents.

The Given family moved to Veyo in 1970, where they raised their family.

Mona was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She and Bill served a mission at BYU Hawaii.  Mona was an amazing, talented, and accomplished woman.  She loved her country and was a true Patriot.  She was a beacon in the community of St. George, where she served two terms on the City Council, served on multiple community boards and was involved in the Republican Women's Organization.

Mona also served as Vice President of Finance for the Huntsman World Senior Games for several years along with many other administrative positions. She will be dearly missed by many. "Until We Meet Again."

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Friday at 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday prior to the services, from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Veyo City Cemetery, Veyo, Utah.
