St. George, Utah - Muretta Ruth Grimm passed away November 9, 2021 just shy of her 67 ^th birthday after a good fight with cancer. She was born and raised in St. George, Utah. She was the oldest of five children. She attended Dixie College taking time off to serve an LDS Mission in Padova, Italy. After returning home she worked to earn money to finish her education at Utah State University. She graduated in 1980 with her degree in Elementary Education. Her first teaching job was in Bancroft, Idaho. She taught 2 ^nd grade for 9 years. In 1990 she moved to Kanab, Utah where she taught 1st and 4 ^th grade. She loved being back in Southern Utah and being closer to her family.

Muretta was preceded in death by her father, Richard Monroe Grimm; mother, Joy Hunting; and brother, Richard Wayne. She is survived by her sisters: Kathy (Paul) McDonald, JoAnna (Otto) Shill, and Marilou Weidenbenner; 11 nieces and nephew; and a bunch of cute greats, all of whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 15, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery, 700 East Tabernacle Street, St. George, Utah.
