Muriel Ruth Kaiser, age 85, returned to her Heavenly Father on March 11, 2012 surrounded by her sweetheart and other loved ones. Muriel was born in Creekmore, Kentucky, on July 1st, 1926. She was the oldest child of Mattie and Dewey Baird. Nine days after her 17th birthday, Muriel married her sweetheart, Walter Kaiser. Together, they had three children, Donna, Cheryl and Robert, and traveled countless miles across the United States. Muriel converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1952, and she had a great love for the gospel and a passion for family history work. Muriel and Walter lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for the majority of their life together, until finally settling in St. George in 1991. Muriel is survived by her husband Walter Kaiser, children: Donna Jorgensen, Cheryl Vause and Robert Kaiser, brother Jack Baird, 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will be at Tonaquint Cemetery.
