Necar Louise Nield was born in Afton Wyoming, on July 8, 1968, to Kent and Camilla Nield. She is child number three of fourteen children. She spent her childhood raising sheep on a farm in Star Valley, Wyoming; until she was a teenager and moved to Leeds, Utah.

Necar always said that when she grew up, she wanted to be a mother. She wanted to travel the world and gather up all orphans to be their mom. Her dream partially came true; she became a mother, blessed with eight pregnancies and nine beautiful children. She then later became Grandma Car to 16 grandchildren, whom she cherished more than anything. She loved being Grandma.

Necar loved hiking, the beach, collecting seashells at the beach, collecting rocks, and socks (she couldn’t stand wet or holey socks on her feet). If you knew her, you’d know that she loved her plants and collected all sorts of different kinds; she had the green thumb. She loved to decorate, especially for her favorite seasons: Christmas, Spring, and Fall. Necar also really loved a good soft snuggy, silky things, all colors of the rainbow (except for the color gray) but liked pink the most, and reading stories to her children and grandchildren.

Necar loved her children and grandchildren more than anything; she always claimed that “she breathed for her children”.

Necar is preceded in death by her beloved son Jacob; her cherished granddaughter Bostynn; and other beloved family members, and is now reunited with them, surrounded with love and peace.

Necar is survived by her eight children and 16 grandchildren: Devro Brinkerhoff (Grace, Adalyn, Bailey, Siddalee), Ashley (Spouse) Cameron Spendlove (Malcom, Logan, Evan, Mahalia), Megan Brinkerhoff (Kaden, Kaylee), Kristabella (Spouse) Sterling Rowley (Crixus, Octavia, Kaius), Ammon Spencer, Alina (Spouse) Ryan Mathis (Brinlee), Alicia (Spouse) Jessie Tovar (Julian), and Dustin Spencer.

We love you mom and can’t wait until we meet again and feel your embrace.

There will be a Celebration of Life open House will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Necar’s residence, 1218 W Bloomington Drive N; St. George, Utah.
