Hurricane, Utah - Neil Stratton, 84, passed away November 19, 2014. He was born in Hurricane, Utah on October 28, 1930 to Leona Mae Elder and Girnzy Stratton. He married Laurel Hepworth on December 22, 1953 in Henderson, Nevada. They were alter sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. Neil attended school in Hurricane, Utah and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his loving wife, Laurel; son, Donald N. (Terri) Stratton; daughter, Joyce S. Gorman; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS 10th Ward Chapel, 1178 South 700 West, Hurricane, Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday evening, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main Street and on Monday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel.
