Tom was raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He served a Stake Mission for the LDS Church. Tom honored his country by serving in the Army. He married Barbara Jill Bonebrake and later Divorced. Tom married Janice Elliott Fenton on July 23, 1965 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Tom was a compassionate and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He spent many years caring for Jan. Tom loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed working on family history.

Tom is survived by his children Brad (Kim) Fenton, Belinda (Clay) Holt, Stan (Brenda) Fenton, and Trent (Wendy) Fenton, 11 grandchildren (Punkins), 14 great grandchildren, sister Georgia Scott, and brother Joel McNees. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Jan and brothers Darrel, Sam, and Jay.

The family would like to thank the Hurricane LDS 15th Ward members, the staff of Kolob Care Center, and the staff of Spring Gardens.

There will be a viewing at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 N. Main in Hurricane, Utah on Tuesday January 15th, from 7:00 " 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16th, at 11:00 A.M. at the Hurricane LDS 15th Ward Chapel, 1178 South 700 West, Hurricane. Friends may call Wednesday, prior to services, from 10:00 " 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel. Friends and family are invited to gather graveside for Interment on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
