Jacobs
April 11, 1936 – March 18, 2023
St. George, Utah - Nicolaas Joseph Jacobs was born in Amsterdam, Holland on April 11, 1936, to parents Joseph Jacobs and Jo Van Derwerff. He was the youngest of 10 siblings. On January 10, 1959, Nic married his sweetheart, Maria Albanese, and they were married for nearly five decades.
Nic and Maria travelled the world together and lived a beautiful life. After Maria's passing, Nic met, and married Mary Katherine La Pinta and inherited her two children: Ashley (Cameron), and Joseph Walton; and their two Shih Tzu's: Maggie and Sadie. Later, Nic had the opportunity to become a grandfather to Amelia Jeanne Cox, the light of his life.
Nic studied Horticulture, and upon moving to the United States, was drafted into the Army. Nic worked hard for many years at Riverside Municipal Electrical Company where he managed a large team of people, and when he retired, he moved to southern Utah.
Nic is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Bob, Lou, Paul, Josette, Tom, Molly, Rob, and Marion; and countless other family members.
