ST. GEORGE - Nina Ruth Law Riley Beaves was one of 13 children born to Ernest Albert and Madeleine Beatrice Law on October 30th or 31st, 1912, in Glenwood, Alberta, Canada. She had three children and four step children, six of whom preceded her in passing from mortality. Her eternal companion, Frederick W. Riley passed March 10, 1985. In 1987, she married a childhood friend from Glenwood, Canada, John Beaves. During her life she lived in Glenwood, Canada, Bountiful, Utah, Pocatello and American Falls, Idaho, Roy, Utah, Long Beach and Garden Grove, California, Escalante, Provo and most of the last 40 years of her life in St. George. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook and was always generous with sharing her talents. She served willingly in many LDS Church callings, frequently in leadership positions. Nina passed peacefully on May 6, 2011, after a long, productive and wonderful life of 98 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Valley LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 1282 West 500 South, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Wednesday, prior to services, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
