Obituary

St. George, UT - Noma Leavitt Clark, 80, passed away on February 2, 2014 in St. George, Utah following a short bout with cancer. She was born December 14, 1933 in Mesquite, Nevada to Heber Chase Leavitt and Mildred Hughes. She married her sweetheart Robert Earl Clark on October 21, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple in June of 1961. Noma moved to St. George in 1978 and started a family business known as The Cameo Florist. Before moving to St. George, Noma lived in Northern Virginia, St. Louis, Missouri and Holbrook, Arizona. Noma was a talented lady who wore herself out in the service of others. She was gifted with compassion and love and everyone she met knew instantly that they were loved. She also showed her love by feeding anybody and everybody and was gifted beyond belief in the kitchen. Her number one priority was her husband. They were married for nearly 55 years before his death in 2005. After his passing, she kicked her compassion and service into another gear and spent her golden years loving and serving others, serving as Relief Society President from 2003 - 2010. In her widowed years, she loved being with her friends, going to the movies and out to lunch. She was also very active with the Utah Republican Women and the Silver Belles. Noma and Bob served as ordinance workers at the St. George Temple for eight years. They also completed a mission for the LDS Church in the Philippines Quezon City Mission form 1997 to 1999. She served in countless other church callings through the years. She is survived by her daughter: Diana and Kurtis Larson of Bloomington Hills, sons, Will David and Deb Clark of Stockton, Missouri and Michael Jon and Paula Clark of Henderson, Nevada. Twelve grandchildren, Nineteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Etta Cheney of St. George. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Harley, LaMar and Lindsey, and a sister, Eloise. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington Hills LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 750 East Fort Pierce Drive, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be Friday, February 7th from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary 288 West St. George Blvd. and 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the Bloomington Hills 2nd Ward LDS Chapel.
