Norma Christensen Thomas Enterprise, UT - Our loving mother and grandmother, Norma Christensen Thomas passed away on March 30, 2011 at the age of 89. She was born on July 24, 1921 in Cedar City, Utah to Alonzo C. and Cassie Allene Forsyth Christensen. She grew up in New Castle, Utah and attended school in Cedar City, Utah. She married Darwin Adair Thomas on May 4, 1940 in Parowan, Utah and on October 19, 1954 was sealed in the St. George Temple. After 48 years of marriage, Darwin passed away on August 15, 1988. They had four children: Judy, Susan, Rose Alene, and Kim. They also have 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Norma was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in all organizations. She and Darwin served as Temple Ordinance Workers in the St. George Temple, which they enjoyed very much. She is preceded in death by her husband, Darwin, her parents, Alonzo and Cassie Christensen, brothers: Caine, Russell, and Boyd, sisters: Lucille and Kate who died at birth, and grandchild, Tonia. The family would like to thank the Coral Canyon Beehive Home for all of their kindness, support and loving care they gave mom these past two years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Enterprise LDS Stake Center, 80 South Center Street, Enterprise, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Enterprise City Cemetery.
