St George - Patricia Rollins Swain of St. George, Utah was 82 years old. Patricia passed away on April 9th, 2024, in St. George, Utah. She was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Mary Webb and James Eugene Rollins, the youngest of seven children.

Patricia was the loving mother of four children: Teri Mitchell (Darin), Julie Boyd (Jim), Melia Gilbert (Bart), and Maurice Young (Charise).

Patricia graduated from Brigham City High School in Brigham City, Utah. She then attended Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs where she studied early childhood development. While attending College, she opened one of the first daycare centers in Rock Springs and remained employed there after she completed her studies.

Patricia had many careers during her life. Some of these include Media Center Specialist at Western Wyoming Community College and Secretary at Texas Gulf. She even opened another day-care center, in St. George, Utah. There she was able to meet her best friend, Esta Jones. Her favorite career of all was serving as a CNA Home Health and Hospice care giver for over 30 years.

Patricia was a devout and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While she served in many capacities and callings, her favorite calling was "Compassionate Service Leader." Additionally, Patricia served several missions in St. George, such as a Family History Missionary and a Member Location Missionary. Before she passed, Patricia had the opportunity to enter the St. George temple's open house before its dedication. She considered seeing her temple reopened a great joy in her life. Patricia lived in St. George for over 30 years.

She loved serving in the temple, going to the movies and going out to enjoy ice cream on a hot summer day. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. If you were able to step into her apartment, you'd see four digital picture frames cycling through pictures of her family.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Barbara, Marilyn, and Sherry; brother Darrell; and grandson, Braylon. She is survived by her children, her remaining 22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and her 2 sisters, Sue and Carole.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
