St. George, UT - Paula Lee Fairhurst, age 65, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010. She is the wife of William S. (Steve) Fairhurst and daughter of Paul Hoyt Hewitt (deceased) and Josette Rood Hewitt of Port Orchard, Washington. Paula was born in San Francisco, California on October 25, 1945 and lived in many locations. She was raised in a career military family and married a career U.S. Air Force Officer. In more recent years she and her husband served three missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Italy, Switzerland and Mozambique. She leaves a legacy of love and service to God, her family and her country. She is survived by her husband; their son, Kraig (Christi) of Orem, Utah; their daughter, Marlee (Larry) Meyers of St. George, Utah; six grandchildren; and sister, Andra P. Behmer of Port Orchard, Washington. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winchester Hills LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 5338 North Winchester Hills Drive, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Chapel, prior to services. Interment will be held at the U.S. Air Force Academy Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
