Obituary

Paula Huffaker Mogensen passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013. She was born on June 12, 1954 to Alton and Marian Huffaker. Paula was a unique and wonderful person who was loved by everyone who knew her. She grew up in Salt Lake City where she was an avid aerobics instructor and dental assistant. She later moved to St. George, Utah where she became a General Contractor and thrived on being a successful female in a predominantly male business. Paula held many callings in the LDS Church and was most especially adored by the youth. Above all, the calling she most cherished was being a Temple Worker. Paula served in the St. George Temple Baptistry for almost 14 years and was never more happy or alive than when she was serving others in her white tennis shoes. She will be remembered for her fierce determination and unfailing generosity to others. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Brian, her three children: Shawn, Brooke and Josh, her mother Marian, her six brothers and sisters, her step children and all her 10 grandbabies - who will never forget Gram . The family would like to thank all of Paulas doctors here in St. George, Huntsman, NIH in Maryland and UCLA for the 3 extra years they gave us. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 5, at 12:00 p.m. at the Little Valley LDS Chapel, 2079 East 2450 South, St. George, UT. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
