Obituary

St. George, Utah - Philip Lee Manning, 54, passed away peacefully at home in St. George, Utah, October 29 th , 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 7 th 1958, in Dillon Montana, to Carol and Robert Manning. Philip graduated from High School in Williams, California, Class of 77. He attended BYU, graduating in 1983 with a double degree; Business Management and Business Education. He received his MBA in 1984 from American Graduate School of International Management, (Thunderbird) Glendale, Arizona.

Philip served in the Bolivia, La Paz, Spanish speaking Mission. He spent most of his time in the high terrain, laboring with the Aymara Indians.

As a Financial Manager, Philip was employed in all facets of finance, most recently as CFO at Bullion Monarch Mining.

Philip is survived by his cherished wife, Lisa and their children; Colby (Jennifer), McKay (Stefani), Calli (James) Harrell, Rio, Nelson, and granddaughters, Edyn and Adaline. He is also survived by his devoted mother Carol Andreasen, 1 brother and 3 sisters. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Manning and infant granddaughter, Elsie.

Throughout his life, Philip served selflessly. He was deeply committed to his family, church and work and was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the Southgate LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 1068 West Chandler Drive, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Wednesday at the Chapel from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.

Memorial donations may be made to the Missionary Fund for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
