St George - Our dear Mother, Grandmother Phyllis Ann Shepherd passed away on June 28, 2023, in St. George, UT. At the age of 71. Heaven gained an angel, and she was welcomed home by many.
She was born in Salt Lake City, UT on July 8, 1951. She was the second youngest child born to Gustaf and Bessie Jacobson.
Phyllis graduated from Murray High School. She had numerous jobs as a waitress and worked at 7-11 throughout her years.
Phyllis had two children, Erich and Temara and a granddaughter, Yasmine. She adored each and every one of them.
Phyllis enjoyed playing darts, reading, and was always playing games on her phone. She loved books and mobile phone puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She appreciated and loved receiving phone calls from her loved one's family and friends. Her family and friends were the apple of her eye.
Phyllis lived the last years 15 of her life in St. George, Utah, surrounded by her extended family and her loving partner Bob Witteman.
She enjoyed gathering with her family for birthdays, holidays or just to get together for dinners. She loved hearing stories from her grandchildren and sharing stories about her life with them. Her most favorite holiday was Halloween.
She is remembered and will be missed by her son, Erich Brown; daughter, Temara Sharp; stepdaughters: Heather and Jennifer; granddaughter, Yasmine; brothers: Keith, Steve and Robert Jacobson; first husband, Keith Brown; and many nephews, nieces, and her grandchildren.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Gustaf and Bessie; brother, Gustaf; sisters: Betty Allen and Maxine Parker; second husband, Don Shepard; partner, Bob Witteman; and stepdaughter, Crystal Witteman-Moore.
A private celebration of life will he held for Phyllis once she is returned home.
