To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. R. Gibb Marsh, husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on June, 21, 2018, after losing a battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 69.
Gibb was born on October 23, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William A. Marsh and Ruth Davis Marsh. He grew up in the same house on Blaine Avenue in Salt Lake City, where he had many fond memories of his family, friends and neighbors.
He graduated from Highland High School in 1967 and from the University of Utah in 1972 with a degree in Finance. He married Marilee Moosman on June 15, 1973. After graduation Gibb went to work for Prudential Federal Savings, which later became Olympus Bank, where he worked for 23 years. Gibb started as a residential loan officer, held various management positions, and ended up as the President of Olympus Bank, prior to its sale in 1995. He then went to work for Sentry Financial Corporation, where he worked full time for 18 years and part time for another four years. He was the Chief Credit Officer.
Gibb was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many leadership positions over the years.
His favorite past times included: trips with the Corvette Club, golfing with anyone who would go, and his garden railroad.
Gibb is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilee; his children: Melissa (Ryan) Park, Michelle (Grant) Hagenno, Kevin Marsh, and David Marsh; four grandchildren: Kylie, Kasey, Makenzie, and Dylan; and his brother, Bill. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Gibb had many titles on his business cards over the years, but the titles he liked best were husband, dad, and grandpa.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM and prior to service, from 9:30-10:30 AM, both at the Mortuary.
Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery.
