IN LOVING MEMORY OF
R.C. (Rafeal
Coy) Brown
October 2, 1988 – June 24, 2022
St. George, UT – R.C. Brown (Rafeal Coy), 33, passed away peacefully at home June 24, 2022. He was born in St. George, Utah on October 2, 1988, to Michelle Hammer Racine and Rafeal Edgar Brown.
R.C. lived a full life of adventure by rock climbing, camping, hiking, and anything else outdoors. He loved to read and write poetry, he loved the red rocks of Southern Utah, and he loved taking photos of everything in nature. R.C. could find beauty in a tumbleweed.
R.C.'s love for helping others took him on journeys throughout the country, where he lived in Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City, Montana, Oregon, Boston, and St. George. R.C. also spent a summer exploring Italy with his good friend Austin.
R.C. could make anyone laugh on a whim by using his witty and quirky sense of humor. He was always making fun of himself, but you would never hear him talk ill of others, and he was not one for gossip.
R.C. was always on his way to meet friends and family for coffee. He will especially be missed on his weekend visits to bring donuts and have coffee with Grandpa.
All of R.C.'s family and friends are so proud of the man he had become and the rock of the family he grew to be.
For R.C. one adventure has ended, yet another has just begun. We love you and we miss you. Until our adventures meet again.
R.C. is survived by his mother, Michelle Hammer Racine, and stepdad, Toby D. Racine of St. George, UT; his father, Rafeal Edgar Brown, and stepmom, Lynn Song, of Weston, Massachusetts; his brothers, Ridge, River, and Noah; his sisters, Katherine, and Mary; his grandparents, Craig and Deborah Hammer of St. George, UT and Tom and Beverly Brown of Wayland, Massachusetts; along with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
An intimate graveside service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. George City Cemetery with a celebration of life to follow.
