St. George, Utah " Renate Luise Klein passed away July 28, 2014 at Dixie Regional medical Center. She was born March 8, 1930 to Emil Robert Klein and Auguste Ernstine Schoenfeld Klein in Koenigsberg, East Prussia, Germany.
She immigrated from Germany to the U.S.A in 1957. She resided in New York City, Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah. She was employed as a bank accountant for 40 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a diligent genealogist and served many years as a genealogy researcher.
Renate resided at Sterling Court for the past two years. She is survived by her sister, Sigrid Klein.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery.
