Hurricane, Utah - Rex Louis Pitt, 33, a loving son, brother, husband, and dedicated father, unexpectedly passed away on June 27, 2023. Rex was a hardworking, silly, and caring man. He had big dreams, loved adventures, and wanted to provide the best life for his wife and daughter. He loved being around family and friends.

Rex was born on November 25, 1989 to Carl Harvey Pitt and Cathy Ann Riess Pitt in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from Horizonte in 2008, Rex gained invaluable skills through different employment opportunities. After moving to St. George in 2014, Rex worked in different construction fields and electrical companies while working towards his eventual goal of becoming an electrical contractor. He was a smart and quick learner. He had recently partnered and started an electrical company.

He met his wife, Elizabeth Murillo Pitt, on February 18, 2016 in St. George, Utah and were married on October 6, 2016. Rex and Lizzy went on to have a daughter, Remi Marie Pitt.

Rex loved biking, playing basketball, helping people, electrical work, Mexican food and tequila, and going on adventures, especially one's outdoors and by waterfalls. He loved spending time with his wife and little girl. He would do anything for them. Remi had him wrapped around her little finger. He built a beautiful life for them and loved them dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Harvey Pitt; grandparents: Carl Everett Pitt, Peggy Marie Smuin Pitt, Frederick Louis Riess Jr., and Mary Ellen Cole Riess. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Murillo Pitt; daughter, Remi Marie Pitt; mother, Cathy Pitt; siblings: Rachel Glauser (Eric), Ryan Pitt (Justine) and Rebecca Brunker (Preston); and nieces and nephews: Gavin, Grace, Chloe and Hudson.

Rex will be missed by his loved ones but will not be forgotten. He will forever be remembered in our hearts. We will cherish the memories we have of him. Until we meet again.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 7, 2023, at 1 pm, with a viewing from 11 am to 12:45 pm, at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
