IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Hamilton
Christensen
November 17, 1941 – December 25, 2022
Hurricane, Utah - Richard Hamilton "Rick" Christensen, age 81, passed from this mortal realm to join his Savior and Redeemer on Christmas Day, 2022. He was born November 17, 1941, to Daryl Aldene Stewart and Richard Sparks. He was later adopted by Cullen Yates Christensen and was raised primarily in Provo, Utah with his brother Rob Christenson (sic), who miraculously survives, despite all their childhood shenanigans.
Rick was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to London, England. He also had a great love for patriotism and freedom and served his country in the armed forces.
Rick married Connie Jean Ottesen on November 21, 1969, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised two daughters in Payson, Utah. Connie faithfully cared for him for several decades following a debilitating accident.
Rick loved the beautiful creations of our Heavenly Father. From mountains to deserts and rocks to stars, his desire to explore and learn never diminished. His family cherishes the memories he leaves with them.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Connie; daughters: Monique Christensen (Danny) and Danielle Crofts (Chanc); grandchildren: Cody (Mike), Helen (Conrad), Ty (Morgan), Kyle, Cole, Matthew (Shandy), Ammon, Corbin, Celia, Kianne; and great grandson, Kodiak.
A graveside service will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in the Hurricane City Cemetery, 255 East 600 North, Hurricane, Utah.
